New Zealand fishing rod manufacturer CTS has found a cost effective way to get face to face with customers in even the most remote parts of the world. The primarily export-focused company is breaking down geographic communication barriers by recording and sending personal video clips to international customers via email using free internet tool, Springdoo.

CTS has a glowing reputation as New Zealand’s leading fishing rod design company, designing and manufacturing unique, top end fishing rods for many varieties of fishing the world over – from carp fishing in the Netherlands to tuna in Hawaii and salmon and bass in Canada and North America.

Since creating a strong web presence over three years ago, CTS has experienced major growth in web-based business, and attracts new customers each week, some from nations quite foreign to New Zealand, including the Czech Republic, Lithuania and Slovakia.

Stephen Pratt, Director of CTS says that the idea to use Springdoo came from recognising the enormous value in getting in front of customers at expos and trade shows. “We have a strong following in the USA and travel there on a regular basis. Our customers appreciate the contact, and it strengthens our ongoing relationships”.

Video email gives the e-card much needed sincerity
